Recent Projects: Orlando Fernandez

Orlando is Puerto Rico's first long distance swimmer. He is seeking sponsorship while training for swims including a crossing from Caja de Muerto Island to Ponce Playa in early October, a 39K (24 miles) race in Tampa Bay, Florida in 2009, and the eventual goal of swimming the 34K English Channel, one of the world’s ultimate long distance swims. This past July Orlando completed a 25K (15.5 mile) Masters event in Indiana becoming the first Puerto Rican to register such a finish.
